Frank J. Veith International Society Diversity Statement

The Frank J. Veith International Society is committed to convening and nurturing a diverse community of vascular specialists and other individuals dedicated to promoting excellence and leadership in the field of vascular surgery.

We acknowledge the strengths and weaknesses of our specialty and actively promote social justice, challenge discrimination, and address disparities and inequities.

We celebrate what members of our society, plus other healthcare professionals outside of our society,  possess including, but not limited to, ethnicity, gender identity, race, national origin, sexual orientation, socioeconomic standing, circumstance, geographic background, immigration status, ability and disability, physical characteristics, veteran status, political ideology, religious belief and age.

The Frank J. Veith International Society  encourages colleagues within and outside of our community to engage and participate in dialogue, raise questions, so that everyone can learn and contribute to their fullest potential.

We respect all of our colleagues and encourage everyone to feel valued and supported.

The society provides education and training and other unique opportunities that everyone within our community may participate.

We support community engagement and respect other collegial medical societies whether they be local, national or international,  and agree to advance the diversity pipeline and eliminate health disparities.

Our society will continue to monitor our diversity and inclusion efforts to ensure that the outcomes bring us closer to reflecting the diversity found in our community and worldwide.
